Newport’s Beaumaris Singers mixed voice choir have started work towards their next concert. While the choir has several potential new members, it still has some places available in certain voices.  Anyone interested should make contact through the website soon. (www.beaumarissingers.org) or by discussion with the secretary on 01743 233893.    The choir’s Director of Music, Simon Collins, is rehearsing the singers with both passion and rigour in the glorious motets of the German masters; Bach, Brahms and Mendelssohn. These are real treats for music lovers.  On Saturday March 24^th the Singers will perform these gems in Holy Trinity Church, Much Wenlock at 7.30pm.  Tickets are only £8 if bought in advance but £10 on the door. They are available through ‘Craft Design’ in Much Wenlock and via the choir’s website or secretary.

·         We invite visitors to experience a choir rehearsal before deciding to apply or having an informal audition.

·         We rehearse on Tuesday evenings at Cosy Hall, Newport, (TF10 7LD) but members come from a very wide area.

·         Subscriptions are £50 a term and this includes music, rehearsal refreshments and raffle entry.
